Resident Hides In Basement To Elude Intruders
A Leoma woman told law enforcement officers that she had hidden in her basement in order to elude intruders Tuesday afternoon.
The victim, age 22, requested that Lawrence County Sheriff’s deputies be dispatched to her home, saying that she had seen a couple of individuals make illegal entrance. Deputies arrived on the scene to find the front door standing open. They conducted a search of the home, determining that no one was inside at that time.
The victim reported that nothing appeared to be missing. The incident currently remains under investigation through the department’s Criminal Investigation Division.
